Elas são diferentes, fáceis de serem identifcadas, grandes casas de madeira, muitas vezes suspensas em tocos de madeira ou armações de aço, com um telhado de ferro corrugado e varandas sombreadas. Algumas são muito simples e com uma decoração muito pouco além de uma camada de tinta, enquanto outras generosamente enfeitadas com ferro e elementos de madeira ornamentado. Essa série é uma viagem fotográfica dentro de uma Queenslander.
They’re very distinctive – a stately, often rambling, timber house on wooden stumps with a corrugated iron roof and shady verandahs. Some are very simple with very little decoration past a coat of paint, while others are quite fancy and liberally decked out with ornate ironwork and wooden features.
